Tuesday March 14, 2017 was one of our company’s most historical moments with the ground breaking ceremony of the McDonough, Georgia facility. The air was chilly, consumed by a brisk cold wind, but the excitement of the Burris team ignited warmth and energy through the crisp morning.
Donnie Burris, Brian Kyle, Michael Piscitelli, Ronald Kaphers, and Eddie Stone were filled with excitement and joy for this new endeavor in Henry County. The Henry County officials and ARCO teams were among the attendees that shared in the excitement of the groundbreaking ceremony.
The experience of being a part of this magnificent occasion as the new General Manager was one of humility and honor for me as I thanked our father in heaven for this blessed day of life to experience this moment.
As I stood on the grounds of this beautiful land I could clearly see a new vision of direction and motivation for the Burris PRW Plus side of the business. I imagined the growth potential of the McDonough facility and the jobs it would bring to the Henry County area.
McDonough through my eyes will become the new phenomenal in “Wow” service and add new meaning to the McDonough area for value, respect, integrity, highest quality of service and value added services within our new Burris PRW Plus warehouse.
The Henry County Development Authority announced on its website March 3, 2017 that construction will soon begin on the 250,000 square foot, public refrigerated warehouse (PRW) with 28,000 pallet positions, and an attached office and noted that 75 local jobs would be created when construction is completed in January of 2018. We are selected for our commitment to service, leading-edge technology and solid core values. We welcome new and expanded relationships.”
